Are you so busy building your business that you’ve forgotten to build trust?

One of the simplest ways to build trust is to go above and beyond what is simply “expected”. Every client expects you to contact them if something goes awry or if you need to meet with them. These forms of contact are necessary

Try doing what is NOT necessary.

Contact them with helpful information, birthday and holiday cards, or with simple updates. Find ways to let them know you value the relationship, and that they’re more than just a number in your client file.

Relationship-building does more than just help you to retain your clients. It increases their satisfaction and builds trust – which is not only helpful in times of financial turmoil or negative headlines, it is also a key ingredient if you’d like them to refer others to you.
